If the information now making the rounds are true, then the former Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, is good to go for a shot at the Upper House of the National Assembly, come 2019.
Already, advertorials and posters announcing his senatorial ambition have been spotted in some areas in Delta South senatorial district of Delta state. Going by his antecedents in public office, ex-Gov. Uduaghan may have a roller coaster drive to the senate. As a young medical doctor, he clinched the plum office of Medical Director of the Medical Centre of the Delta Steel Complex, Aladja; he was to become in quick succession a commissioner in two different portfolio, then a secretary to the government of Chief James Ibori; culminating in his eventual election as the governor of The Big Heart of the Nation state, for two consecutive terms. It can only be inferred that his senatorial bid is already a done deal, if all the math and permutations available are intact, with the strong backing of his structure and wherewithal, financially, grassroots-wise and political pedigree, still in place.
