Squid Game, the survival drama series, was among the biggest winners at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards which held on Sunday. The annual event honours the year’s best television and film performances by actors. The record-breaking Netflix’s blockbuster original show won three prizes including the ‘Outstanding Action Performance as a Stunt Ensemble’ category. Lee Jung-Jae, who starred in the project, also took home prize for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series’ while Jung Ho-Yeon snagged the female category. The series earlier made history as the first non-English-language series and first Korean series to score a SAG Awards nomination. The Academy Awards won't mandate COVID vaccination condition for the attendees of the awards on March 27, but other awards insist on the criteria. COVID-19 led to the cancellation of numerous events in recent time while some events were either held virtually or with a smaller audience. The Academy Awards had been a smaller-sized event last year, having to move away from the traditional venue, Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, to Union Station. With a drop in cases after a recent high, that had led to the postponement of Grammys this year, the Oscars are also set to return in a full-fledged manner. Full vaccination has become a common requirement to attend large-scale events, and the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics Choice Awards are among those to mandate this condition. Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji, simply known as Olamide, on Saturday announced that his next album, Unruly, was 95% ready. Taking to his verified Instagram page, the rapper noted that though he didn’t know the release date for the album, he was making it the best ever. Noting that Unruly may be his last album, he stated that he would drop singles occasionally when he felt like it. His tweet read “Next Album = #Unruly 95% ready. Release date = I don’t know.Taking my time to make it the best ever… probably my last album. “Though I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it.
