Recently, established PR manager and communications strategist; Olusegun Michael Fafore joined Nestoil Limted, Nigeria’s largest indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) Services Company as Corporate Communications Manager.
With his natural smile dimpled face; Segun has advised notable Nigerians in public and private sectors, and contributed to nurturing of some Nigeria’s leading brands and institutions to global admiration with his clinical approach to campaign execution.
Proceeding to his appointment, Segun was Head, Public Affairs at Access Bank where he spent 10 years of his professional communications career, which began after earning a (B.A Hons) degree in English, Second Class Upper, from Obafemi Awolowo University, at PMI Direct, an Integrated Marketing Communications Company before joining Martlink Advertising Ltd as Snr. Executive, Media Relations and Strategy.
While at Access Bank, Segun was an integral member of the industry-defining communications team that managed the Bank’s capital raising exercises in 2004 and 2007, and played significant role in cultivating and nurturing the Bank’s relationship with the media, through professionalism and ingenuity. He was also instrumental to the design and implementation of the Bank’s Pan African Communication Strategy, implemented across the Bank’s locations and helped in managing the Bank’s M&A communications as well as its only leadership succession communications so far.
He also holds the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) Diploma in Public Relations (2010 – Distinction), Business Education and Examination Council (BEEC) Diplomas in Public Relations and Advertising as validation of his claim to robust knowledge of public relations and modern trend in marketing communications.
Segun is currently aspiring to the prestigious ‘APR’ acronym (Accredited in Public Relations), which is a mark of distinction for PR practitioners.
