Since the better half of Erelu Bisi Fayemi became the governor of Ekiti State, glowing tributes have begun to pour in torrents for the Ekiti first couple.
Governor Kayode Fayemi was last week elected as the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, NGF, and in tow, his wife was Sunday night accorded the 2018 Zik Prize in Leadership, alongside other seven prominent Nigerians. The event, which took place at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, saw the Ekiti State First Lady winning the Humanitarian Leadership category of the 2018 Zik Prize in Leadership awards. As it stands, the Ekiti First Couple have been on a roller-coaster, and this is a very good testimony for the Fountain of Knowledge state. Kayode and Bisi have been in the limelight for a number of years and they don’t seem to relax for any moment from now. What the two are deciphering in the South-West region of Nigeria is monumental, and will leave many wondering how the couple will lead Ekiti State to the hilt of developmental heights, if they will leave to their constituents’ expectations.. The bespectacled couple are sure up to the task, even in the face of the daunting challenges facing them, as to where Ekiti State is positioned.
