BUA slashes cement price to N3500

BUA slashes cement price to N3500

01 October, 2023

BUA Cement Plc, one of Nigeria's leading cement manufacturers, has announced a significant reduction in the prices of its cement products.

This move is aimed at stimulating growth in the building materials and infrastructure sectors, in line with the company's commitment to support development.

Originally planned for implementation upon the completion of their new production lines at the end of the year, BUA Cement has decided to bring forward the price reduction. Effective October 2, 2023, BUA Cement will now be sold at an ex-factory price of 3,500 Naira per bag, providing immediate benefits to customers and the public.

The decision to reduce prices comes after a thorough review of the company's operations for greater efficiency. BUA Cement recognizes the importance of making cement more affordable for Nigerians, and this strategic move is intended to have a positive impact on the construction industry and infrastructure development.

Looking ahead, BUA Cement has plans to further review these prices in line with their earlier pronouncements by the first quarter of 2024. This future review will take into account the completion of the ongoing construction of new plants, which will significantly increase the company's production capacity to 17 million metric tonnes per annum.

In the spirit of fairness and transparency, BUA Cement assures its customers that all pending and undelivered orders paid for at the old prices will be reviewed downwards to the new ex-factory price of 3,500 Naira per bag. The company also emphasizes the importance of its licensed dealers ensuring that end-users benefit from this price reduction, as field sales will be closely monitored for compliance.

With this bold step, BUA Cement continues to demonstrate its commitment to customer satisfaction, economic growth, and infrastructural development in Nigeria.
