He is a member of the vibrant Lagos State house of Assembly, but since he becamea Honourable, nothing good has come out of his representation.
Hon Richard Kasumu, a nephew of APC national chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, cannot be said to be a sagacious and responsive politician and representative, as many of his constituents in Ikeja 1 are grumbling over his lack-luster performance. They say, the much dividends of democracy are not coming their way. During his last town hall meeting, most stakeholders in his constituency were conspicuously absent, especially councilors, ward leaders and prominent party members; to the extent that ARK himself was not in his right senses to audaciously address the pertinent issue(s) on ground. Even what he was reported to have distributed to those who came to the meeting were far below what his fellow honorable members in the LSHA doled out to their constituents. His first town hall meeting was also devoid of funfair, as he was reported to have been stoned and splashed with pure water sachets. The subject of imposition is coming to bear through Hon. ARK, as he is believed to have been foisted on them by the powers that be in Lagos politics a la Tinubu, Kemi Nelson et al. ARK himself, doesn’t even care about the negative comments being made about him, because he believes so much in political god-fatherism, unlike another sliver spoon honorable, Folajimi Mohammed, the son of Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who represents Ikeja 2 in the same LSHA. Whether Hon ARK can hang on to this power in the next dispensation, only time and fate would tell, as many of his constituents have sworn to pay him back in his own coin for neglecting them without giving a hoot.
