When a young man does his job diligently and efficiently, especially in his untainted service to those he serves in any capacity, he will surely have reasons to smile and rejoice whenever the opportunity to do so beckons.
So it was for the affable and unassuming Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola when he clocked the proverbial Golden Age days back. Gbenga Makanjuola, for your knowing, is the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President, Rt. Hon. Bukola Saraki. Although the 50th birthday celebration was not with the usual razzmatazz peculiar to such attainment in life, the celebration nonetheless had the coloration of a man with rising profile and substance in the area where he operates. Modest as it was, the event which held within the senate building, had the likes of Senator Saraki, his boss, Senator Ben Bruce, Senator Dino Melaye and other principal officers of the senate, who all came out to felicitate with the birthday boy on his day. The highlight of the event, to show how important and highly revered by his principal, work literally had to stop mid-day for the Senate President’s personal staff, in honour of Makanjuola, who felt so much elated at the extreme show of love and compassion by his boss and others in attendance. A commemorative but modest birthday cake was cut by the celebrator after which a the popular happy birthday song was rendered by the sparse guests under the supervision of the Senate President. Gbenga Makanjuola is really a man of immense humility and courtesy, the virtues he exhibited while thanking all those who came to rejoice with him, especially his principal.
