Still basking in the euphoria of the triumph of the Senate President,Dr. Bukola Saraki, a non-political,non-governmental and non-partisan group, known as ABSA, has gone a step further in making real their intents and purposes of the group.
ABSA, an acronym for Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ambassadors, recently visited the Anwar-U-Deen mosque, Abuja and was received by the Chief Missioner and Chief Imam of the mosque, Dr. Musa Olaofe (PhD) alongside the welfare committee of the mosque. Here, the group intimated the hierarchy of the mosque of its mission to help in its own way at assisting His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki to effect true change by reaching out to as many people as possible during these difficult times At the end of the courtesy visit, the Imam and his team assured ABSA members of their readiness to always support our cause, after which he led the distribution of clothes to the needy, even while he did not at it when some parishioners of the mosque took several of the bags of rice ABSA took to the mosque as take away. In the ensuing event, members of the group were careful not to turn the outing into a political event, after which a commemorative meeting was held at the GT Restaurant, Garki II, with overtwenty other people in attendance. ABSA is made up of several media practitioners and other core professionals, and has been in the vanguard of pro-democracy initiatives, not particularly hinged on the personality of the senate president, but primarily hinged on Leadership, Listening, Determination, Integrity, Principle, Passion, Responsibility, just to mention a few. The Abuja-based group is ably coordinated by a renowned journalist and publicist, Ms. Adeola Agoro. Right now, the group has set the agenda to reach out to more members across the nation and even beyond, with the sole and uncontaminated purpose of staying fastidiously to the ideals and objectives for which the group was formed.
