They belong to the same class of elected political offices in the National Assembly, but in different chambers. But what has just emerged from their respective political ambition(s), may have just categorized them into birds of the same feathers.
One cannot forget easily how Senator Olamilekan Adeola aka Yayi was strategically schemed out of his Ogun Guber ambition and he hurriedly scampered back to Lagos West senatorial district to dust his senatorial seat he was ready to vacate, only to meet on ground a volte-face set of aspirants that have queued up to grab the lofty seat. In the case of Hon. Faleke, a House of Reps member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, who had a disastrous deputy-cum-governorship adventure in his home state, Kogi, only to run back to his base in Lagos to strategize for the reinvigoration of his mandate in Ikeja. But, alas he was boldly told by the elders of the party in the constituency that he should forget anything of such and go back to his newly-found Kogi base to achieve his aim, because since he left two years ago for the dep. Gov. ticket, the vacuum he left has already been filled by a better and more political sagacious person, who will not ditch them for any pecuniary reason. That was the beginning of Faleke’s political hara-kiri, as going back to Kogi now, maybe a Herculean task for him, because he will need to build a structure on which he can lay his golden goose for another shot at any office; a structure which he can never build before the next election.
