Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, a.k.a. Yayi, representing Lagos West Senatorial District, has proved to be a man driven by inordinate ambitions.
He is an dreamer in wonder land and most of his dreams have come true, as evidenced by his current position, from being a House of Reps member to the Senate. But it seems, the Senator’s dream of clinching the number one job in Ogun State may not be realizable. Though, he has been moving about the political terrain with his governorship ambition of Ogun State, but latest developments have shown that he cannot realize it, given the arithmetic that surrounds the APC in the state. Yayi is one person that cannot give easy access to obtain favor in the political space. Now, he can go home to roost because there is no room for him rest again in the state, as permutations are not working for him. Besides, it was gathered that the National Peace Move in the party, led by former Lagos State governor and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is not making his ambition very real, which was what actually truncated his governorship dream, as it was said that his interest to occupy the number one seat in Oke-Mosan government house in Abeokuta is causing ripples within the party, APC, in the state. Recall that the incumbent governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has not been at rest with Yayi’s ambition and now that the national peace move is not working in favour of Yayi, Amosun can now smile with his candidate in mind.
