He is not one to change guards anyhow. When the rumour mills went wild that he was moving out of his most–favoured party, pundits were taken aback.
He has come out to debunk the rumours that he was dumping the party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for another party, if only to realize his gubernatorial ambition. The very deeply-grass-rooted politician is one chap that will not shy away from the intrigues of politics, even in the face of unsubstantiated rumours about his ambition. Hon. Ladi Adebutu is a very committed party member, and will always remain one. As the 2019 election draws closer, Ladi still remains solidly steadfast in the party that gave him the ticket to be a renowned federal lawmaker, and will not at this time dump the party for no just reason. In his constituency, he has a solid pedigree, even outside his father’s good and widespread reputation. Many do not even know that Hon. Ladi Adebutu is not hiding in the shadows of his father, because he has created a good ambit for himself, long before he came into limelight. That is why his traducers are insinuating that the party he belongs to may not be the right one for him to make real his gubernatorial ambition. But, trust the Baba Ijebu son; he is not a coward, in the volatile game of politics and will slug it out with whoever confronts him politically. No going out of PDP for Ladi, because he has the wherewithal to make his ambition of becoming the next governor of Ogun State, in the face of all odds. ‘PDP is my party, and I will not leave it for whatever reason’, he enthused. Rumours are never believed by those who know the truth, and rumours will remain rumours, even when the facts are glaring.
