Ahead of the Ramadan period, fast-rising Islamic singer, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso has geared up preparations for a three-fold album release of her musical package tagged: ‘Ramadan Special.’
The ‘Ramadan Special’ which consists of three unbeatable musical albums like ‘Alao Jowujowu’ featuring Suleiman Alao widely known as Malaika, followed by a joint effort which features over 20 Islamic actors is titled ‘Ramadan’ as well as the much awaited album ‘Temitope.’
The three-fold album will be marketed by Okiki Films and Music Productions while the duet; titled ‘Alao Jowujowu’ features popular fuji musician, Malaika is a record that shed light on the differences and disadvantage of feeling insecure in a marriage while the album ‘Ramadan’ is recorded to celebrate the entrance of the Holy month and it features Nolloywood stars Moji Olaiya and Afeez Owo and other notable Islamic icons who gathered together to deliver the album. However, ‘Temitope’ is a solo album which out the best of the Islamic singer.
Rukayat Gawat, who is the daughter of the late television presenter, Rasaq Aremu Gawat, is one of the popular and talented Islamic singers, who made name with the release of her first album and has remained on top.
Meanwhile, the easy-going singer; who recently fed about 120 widows in her annual charity event which was tagged ‘Imole Day’ has performed at several big Islamic functions and has some musical albums that include ‘Imole,’ ‘My Father’, ‘Arinakore,’ ‘Aye Le’, Iyawo Obun and ‘Agboko L’Ori,’ as well as ‘Ogbe-Okan’ to her credit.
