A new Yoruba series titled Yoponyanrin is about to hit the TV screens in Nigeria. The Nollywood stardust series is set to redefine indigenously in contemporary Nigeria of21st century.
The family drama series produced by wave making filmmaker, Okiki Afolayan stars a potpourri of old and new thespians likes of Opeyemi Aiyeola, Toyin Adewale, Taiwo Aromokun, Bolanle Abdulsalam, Ladi Folarin, Jamiu Azeez, Jumoke George, Tosin Alabi, Mustapha Gbolagade and many more.
The series, Yaponyanrin is written and also directed by the award winning filmmaker, Okiki Afolayan. It is scheduled to air on the cable broadcasting network in the next quarter of the year 2016.
According to Okiki Afolayan, the family drama series xrays the life of a family man and how some men get it wrong in building a healthy family. “The drama series Yanponyanrin is a bold attempt to set the pace in family drama series. We got the best of crews and with a rich script, the series is thought provoking with a moral lesson for everybody. The story is about a family man who believes that after providing for his home, he can have girls and womanise outside the home. The man met his waterloo and a lot of intriques followed after,” says the movie producer.
Okiki Afolayan has directed countless blockbuster Nollywood flick in Yoruba some of which are Oba Adetoyese, Lima to name a few.
