It has been reported that on Wednesday some electricity consumers in Lagos protested over the arbitrary billing by the Ikeja Electricity Destribution Company (IKDC).
They said that the billing is 400 percent higher than what were charged in July.
According to Mr Johnson Oladapo, a resident of Mafoluku in Oshodi Area of Lagos said that the bill given to him did not reflect what he consumed August.
He described the August billing as scheme by the company to extort people adding that the electricity company should cancel the outrageous bill.
“What are the parameters they are using to billing consumers?
“The management of Ikeja Electricity should as a matter of urgency recall all bills sent out from the month of August because the billing did not reflect what we consumed.
“This is injustice, we cannot continue to pay for what we did not use,’’ he said.
