Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, is making significant contributions to the field of education in his community. Through his personal contributions, CP Idowu has granted over 130 free education scholarships to underprivileged pupils in the Lagos Police barracks community. Going above and beyond, he has extended this support to an additional 10 students, bringing the total to 140. What's remarkable is that CP Idowu does all this without seeking any media attention or hype, demonstrating his genuine commitment to uplifting the society and promoting policing leadership.

Idowu Owohunwa is not just a super cop but also a gentleman with a heart of gold. He considers the welfare and protection of humanity his primary concern. His impact on numerous lives has been evident throughout his career and continues as he holds important positions within the Nigeria Police Force.

With an impressive educational background, CP Owohunwa's qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Studies and Policing from the University of Leeds, UK (on British Government Chevening Scholarship), and a Diploma in National Security from the Centre for Strategic Studies, Galilee International Management Institute, Israel. He has also attended various international courses, such as the Global Peace Operations Initiative Course in Italy and the US State Department Law Enforcement Executive Development Programme.

CP Owohunwa has served in key positions, such as a member of the Nigerian Pilot Contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia, a Staff Officer to the Inspector-General of Police, and the pioneer head of the Intelligence Analysis Unit of the Nigeria Police Force Intelligence Bureau. His dedication to police reform and his extensive experience in various roles have equipped him with valuable insights to contribute to the field of education.

In addition to his remarkable contributions to education, CP Owohunwa is also an author. He has written books such as "Intelligence-Led Policing," published in "The Monograph of Criminal Investigation," "Anatomy of Police Corruption," published in "Policing Nigeria in the 21st Century," and "Miscarriages of Justice and the Nigeria Police."
