Marc Skinner has left his job as head coach of Manchester United Women. This decision was made by mutual agreement, just a month before the Women’s Super League season begins.
Skinner became the head coach in 2021. He helped the team win their first major trophy in women’s football when they lifted the FA Cup in 2024.
The club shared the news in a statement on Monday. “Marc Skinner has departed his role as head coach of Manchester United Women by mutual agreement,” the statement said.
The statement also added, “Marc leaves having made a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women.”
Last season, United finished fourth in the league. They ended up 15 points behind the champions, Manchester City. The new season kicks off for United against London City Lionesses on September 4.
