Oluwatobiloba Amusan becomes the first Nigerian to win a hurdles title after clinching gold medal in the women’s 100m Hurdles at the Commonwealth.

Amusan crossed the line 12.68 seconds ahead of Jamaican duo of Danielle Williams and Yanique Thompson who won silver and bronze respectively for Jamaica. With Australian World Champion, Sally Pearson injured, Amusan was one of the favourites to win the race.

Nigeria now has 18 medals – 8 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.
