Chief (Mrs.) Folorunsho Alakija, Africa’s richest black woman and CEO of FAMFA Oil Limited is still basking in the euphoria of her three scores and on decade birthday. The well-endowed woman was in her element during the modest celebration, in company with her husband of many years, Barrister Modupe Alakija, her four beloved sons and their spouses. She was showered with encomium and well wishes from different quarters notably from the Presidency, captains of industry, friends and colleagues from different sectors. The Ikorodu, Lagos state-born Folorunsho Alakija is a Nigerian billionaire businesswoman and philanthropist. She is severally involved in the fashion, oil and gas, real estate and printing industries. She is the Group Managing Director of The Rose of Sharon Group which consists of The Rose of Sharon Prints & Promotions Limited, Digital Reality Prints Limited. Industrious and very efficacious Folorunsho Alakija also has a majority stake in DaySpring Property Development Company. Folorunsho Alakija is ranked by world famous Forbes as the richest black woman in Africa. She is also listed as the second most powerful woman in Africa after Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the 87th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes.
