Commissioner Margaret Ochalla, with her captivating beauty and resolute character, currently holds the position of Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Fraud Unit in Lagos State. Known for her unwavering commitment, she approaches her duties with an unparalleled sense of honesty, kindness, and humility. Her remarkable track record demonstrates her dedication to the force and her passion for justice.

Having previously served in the Anti-Fraud Section under the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Commissioner Ochalla has consistently demonstrated her vision and unwavering commitment to the force. She aspires to make the Police Special Fraud Unit a leading national, professional, and efficient fraud investigation unit, one that remains dynamic, robust, and unfaltering in its pursuit of justice and recovery of proceeds of fraud.

Among Commissioner Ochalla's notable achievements as Force Gender Coordinator, she initiated the establishment of uniform specialized police units and successfully included guidelines and standard operating procedures in the Force Order and Police Training Curriculum in Police Schools and Colleges. Furthermore, she played a vital role in the reactivation of the online reporting platform (www.fciidgender.net), offering victims a confidential platform to report cases of SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) and related crimes.

Commissioner Ochalla's dedication to gender inclusivity and safety is evident in her establishment of Police Gender Desks in all tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Additionally, she spearheaded the construction and operationalization of the pioneering Specialized Children Police Unit in Maitama Area Command, Abuja, ensuring that the unique needs of young victims are addressed comprehensively.

Noteworthy among these are the Africa Women Leadership award, bestowed in South Africa and presented by His Excellency John Mahama, former President of Ghana. She has also been honored with the "Improving Access to Justice Award" by the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, SAN, on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian Senate Committee on Police Affairs recognized her with the National Security Award for Excellent Performance and Exemplary Leadership.

As a global advocate on gender affairs, Commissioner Ochalla was conferred with the Ambassadorial Award by Global Gender Safety and Moral Development, and she received the prestigious Female Humanitarian of the Year award from the esteemed Hall of Fame. The Sheik of Dubai personally presented her with the Global Women Hall of Fame (CELD), further emphasizing her impact on a global scale.
