Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have arrested a suspected notorious thug, Auwalu Ali, popularly known as Auwalu Dan Daba, over alleged involvement in organised thuggery and violent attacks on residents of the state.

Ali, 26, was arrested by operatives of the Dorayi Division after intelligence reports linked him to coordinated attacks and robberies in parts of Kano.

The injured woman was rushed to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where a police officer voluntarily donated blood to save her life.

“The victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, where a police officer selflessly donated blood, thereby saving her life,” the statement said.

Commending the officers, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, praised their professionalism and sacrifice.

“The Commissioner of Police commended the sacrifice of the officers, particularly the blood donation, and expressed gratitude to the good people of Kano State for their continued support and cooperation,” the statement added.

The command urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and avoid mob action and jungle justice.
