Agege traditional rulers back APC Assembly candidates as party begins grassroots mobilisations

Traditional rulers and prominent community stakeholders in the Agege area of Lagos State have thrown their weight behind the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr Gbenga Abiola, for the State House of Assembly, just as the party commences intensive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the upcoming general elections.

The Newsmen reports that the party on Saturday began intensive grassroots mobilisations across Agege community where traditional rulers were met and gave their supports to the APC candidates.

Mr Fola Tinubu, the Primero Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who led the Campaign team along with the party candidates met various party leaders and stakeholders for the election mobilisations.

Tinubu said that his activities include grassroots mobilisation across South West states with rallies, town hall meetings, and organised campaigns.

According to him, it’s essential for people to know what the president Bola Tinubu is doing in term of reforms economically, socially and other physical infrastructure across the country.

That’s our key highlights of the Campaign as we focus on grassroots mobilisations with leading mobilisations in Lagos and across South West States to let people know the efforts of the Federal Government and it future plans for the citizens.

“Through our campaigns we will highlight the economic achievements of the removal of petrol subsidy and stabilisation measures, growth in foreign reserves and GDP, Reduction in inflation, Clearance of over $10 billion in loans, including COVID-19 debt,” he said.

Tinubu added that Infrastructure Projects include completion of major roads like Kano-Kaduna Expressway railway expansions, and regional development commissions.

Oba Kamila Isiba, the Olu of Agege in his remarks said that there was need for synergy between the traditional institution, indigenous stakeholders, community leaders and political gladiators, traditional custodians, and the electorate to secure a landslide victory for the party at all levels.

Oba Ambaliu Agbedeyi, the Alaige of Orile Agege said that the APC candidates representing Agege Constituencies I and II possess the requisite legislative pedigree and community alignment to effectively deliver the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

Mr Gbenga Abiola, popularly known as Agbelebu the APC candidate for Agege Constituency 01 said that the party has flagged off a door-to-door mobilisation campaign, urging party faithful, youth groups, and market associations to close ranks and work assiduously for the success of the party.

Agbelebu added that unity remains paramount, calling on all members to put aside minor internal differences and focus squarely on securing comprehensive electoral success across the entire local government area and the state at large.
