The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State has said that the party is ready for electioneering with the aim of winning the 2027 elections within the council area.
Mr Tosin Fatoki, the outgoing APC Chairman in Alimosho while given his remarks during the party Congress on Saturday at the Igando Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) said that all was set to mobilise residents for the coming general elections.
“We have the Congress today and it’s very peaceful, there’s no trouble the leaders have met and they have harmonised all the lists together.
“So the only way is to ratify everything based on concession, So there’s no problem, everything is peaceful.
“More members are coming in and since we are in control of the local government, the local government is performing wonderfully well.
“Even the present Council Chairman is working fine and between the government and the party, there’s cooperation.
“We are really preparing very well for the general elections at the ward and the zones levels our members are preparing to make sure all is well with the elections.
“We are going to deliver massive votes for this coming election in 2027,” he said.
Mr Ibrahim Abiodun, the newly elected party chairman in the Local Government in his remarks said that his major plan was to deliver positively to the party during the coming elections.
Abiodun said that the party has plans of winning the coming elections especially in the Lagos State and Alimosho, being the home country of the President Bola Tinubu,.
“This is to make sure we deliver massive votes for the president in the coming elections.
“And by the grace of God, last two weeks or thereabouts, the Renew Hope agenda was launched here in Lagos and by the grace of God, I happen to be one of the representatives of Alimosho local government.
“And there is a set plan of how to mobilise people through during the voting period.
“And that is what we are working on now to ensure the general elections are successful,” he said.
“So, as far as we are concerned, for the coming election, it is going to be a different ballgame entirely.
Abiodun said that the congress in Alimosho was peaceful and calm saying the party would focus on members welfare packages.
“Before now, I am in-charge of some welfare programmes of the party.
“We are going to ensure more welfare provisions for our members to encourage them deliver perfectly during the elections periods.
“So, in the area of welfare, I can assure you, the executive chairman of the local government is one that can be counted on.
“And we can be assured that members would be rewarded accordingly and get the best from the party.
Mr Gbenga Olaosebikan, the Party Electoral Committee Chairman in Alimosho announced Mr Ibrahim Abiodun, as the party Chairman, Mr Taiwo Oladipupo as Vice Chairman, Mr Bola Afolabi as Secretary and Barr Bisi Ojoloye as legal adviser.
Others are Akibu Saliu, Treasurer, Mrs Ronke Lawal Financial Secretary, Hammed Abajimi Auditor, Women Leader Omoboriowo Awulat, Akinwale Onaolap—Organising Secretary and Shitu Alimi, as Youth Leader.
