2027: Obanikoro, Ikuforiji, FT canvass 3m votes for president Tinubu in Lagos state

By Kazeem Akande

Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro; former Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji and Fola Tinubu, Chief Executive Officer of Primero Transport Services Ltd have canvassed three million votes for President Bola Tinubu.

The Newsmen reports that party leaders gave the disclosure at the formal inauguration of the APC campaign office of Fola Tinubu (FT) Support Group for PBAT 2027 in Ikeja on Friday.

Obanikoro the Director General of President Tinubu and Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Campaign Organisation while addressing the party members said that the inauguration of the campaign office was part of mobilising support ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the campaign is a bold target of delivering three million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Lagos State in next general elections.

“This campaign emphasis unity, reconciliation, and grassroots canvassing across all communities in 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the state.

“Our target this time around is to secure three million votes for president Tinubu in Lagos during the 2027 presidential election.

“That’s why we are appealing to the party leaders, APC members, stakeholders to get ready for the elections and prepare with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to cast their votes for president Tinubu in 2027.

“We are back stronger together in Lagos to reconcile party members, tribal differences as we are all one and unite to cast our vote for president Tinubu,” Obanikoro said.

Ikuforiji earlier in his remarks urged the party members not to relent on the party popularity charging them to prepare their PVCs and cast their votes for APC during the general elections.

“We had an election about three or four weeks ago in Osun and the total number of votes that was cast in that election was a little less than the registered number of voters in Alimosho.

“52 per cent of registered voters came out and the total cast for Accord, APC and for all other parties was a little less than the registered voters at Alimosho local government in Lagos here.

“Our last election in Lagos, if I can remember, only 28 per cent, of registered voters voted in that election and there were over six million registered voters in the state.

“If we work seriously towards ensuring that our candidates win and come enmasse out of six million voters, if half of that number come out to vote for President Tinubu, Governor Obafemi Hamzat, of Lagos state and for all our APC candidates success is ours.

“We should not have anything less than three million votes for president Tinubu from Lagos during the next general elections in Lagos state,” Ikuforiji said.

Fola Tinubu the Primero CEO in his remarks said that his activities include grassroots mobilisation across South West states with rallies in Ogun, Ekiti and Oyo State.

“Our main target is to educate the electorate on the president Tinubu’s reform and agenda to advance the country’s economy and social infrastructure.

“And our main Campaign will focus on grassroots mobilisations with leading crusade in Lagos and across South West States,” he said.

Chief Sunday Udeh, the President General Igbo speaking community in Lagos in his remarks assured remarkable votes for president Tinubu by the Igbo community during next election.

Udeh said that the Igbo community in Lagos have resolved to cast their votes for the president for second term.

“We assure the president of our votes, we the Igbo community in Lagos have resolved to cast our vote for APC come the next elections,” he said.(NAN)
